Description

Thomas/Wright, Inc. designed 2,200 feet of new bike and pedestrian path from Marine Drive to Airport Way.

The new path connects an existing multi-use path to the Portland International Airport. The path also connects Marine Drive to the Cascade Station Development near the airport. Prior to this project, the route to the airport from Marine Drive was a 5 mile loop around Interstate 205.

T/WI assisted the Port of Portland with permits including Land Use Review and the Army Corps of Engineers flood zone permit. The new path is ADA accessible, lighted for safety and security, and includes drainage, and pervious pavement to minimize storm water runoff.
