Dredging Inspectors for
USACE, Portland District
|

| In October 2006, Thomas/Wright, Inc.
was awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland
District to provide dredging inspectors to USACE. |
|
|
Qualifications:
|
-
Minimum
2 years experience working with the type of dredging being performed
(hopper, pipeline, or clamshell). Experience must include on-site
quality assurance and/or quality control duties.
-
Prior
job experience that includes responsibility for safety on dredge
operations.
-
Ability
to work in adverse conditions for extended periods of time which may
include foul weather and rough sea conditions.
-
If
assigned to hopper dredging, must be able to live on board for extended
periods of time (two to three weeks at a time).

Familiarity
with the Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM
385-1-1).
-
Successful
completion within the last 5 years of the course “Construction Quality
Management for Contractors” which is periodically offered by
Associated General Contractors (AGC).
-
A
minimum of 30 hours of safety training related to dredging within the
past two years.
-
Current
first aid and CPR certifications.
